Answer – The two types of deserts found in the world are hot deserts and cold deserts.

Answer – Sahara desert is located in the continent of Africa.
(c) What are the climatic conditions of the Ladakh desert?
Answer – Ladakh lies in the Trans Himalayan part of India, which is extremely cold and dry. The moisture or humidity content is extremely low in Ladakh desert characterised by very cold winds.
(d) What mainly attracts tourists to Ladakh?
Answer – The beautiful landscape of the Karakoram ranges, the confluence of the two mighty rivers, Zanskar and Indus along with many beautiful monasteries attract a wide range of tourists in Ladakh. There are also many palaces of historic and military importance in Ladakh. The Siachen Glacier also lies here.
