### Divisibility Rule for 2 :-

A number is divisible by 2, if the digit at one’s place of that number is divisible by 2 or digit at ones place is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.

**For Example** –

**Question 1**

Check whether 38452 is divisible by 2?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 2, if the digit at one’s place of that number is divisible by 2 or digit at ones place is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.

In, 38452

2 is at one’s place

and 2 is divisible by 2

So, 38452 is also divisible by 2

**Question 2**

Check whether 95745 is divisible by 2?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 2, if the digit at one’s place of that number is divisible by 2 or digit at ones place is 0, 2, 4, 6, 8.

In, 95745

5 is at one’s place

and 5 is not divisible by 2

So, 95745 is not divisible by 2

**Divisibility Rule for 3**** :-**

A number is divisible by 3, if the sum of all the digits of the number is divisible by 3.

**For Example** –

**Question 1**

Check whether 35754 is divisible by 3?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 3, if the sum of all the digits of the number is divisible by 3.

In, 35754

Sum of its digits = 3 + 5 + 7 + 5 + 4 = 24

and 24 is divisible by 3

So, 35754 is also divisible by 3

**Question 2**

Check whether 64265 is divisible by 3 ?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 3, if the sum of all the digits of the number is divisible by 3.

In, 64265

Sum of its digits = 6 + 4 + 2 + 6 + 5 = 23

and 23 is not divisible by 3

So, 64265 is not divisible by 3

**Divisibility Rule for 5**** :-**

A number is divisible by 5 if the digit at ones place is either “0” or” 5″.

**For Example** –

**Question 1**

Check whether 53425 is divisible by 5?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 5 if the digit at ones place is either “0” or” 5″.

In, 53425

5 is the digit at one’s place.

So, 53425 is divisible by 5

**Question 2**

Check whether 64329 is divisible by 5?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 5 if the digit at ones place is either “0” or” 5″.

In, 64329

9 is the digit at one’s place.

So, 64329 is not divisible by 5

**Divisibility Rule for 9**** :-**

A number is divisible by 9, if the sum of all the digits of the number is divisible by 9.

**For Example** –

**Question 1**

Check whether 85752 is divisible by 9?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 9, if the sum of all the digits of the numbers is divisible by 9.

In, 85752

Sum of its digits = 8 + 5 + 7 + 5 + 2 = 27

and 27 is divisible by 9

So, 85752 is also divisible by 9

**Question 2**

Check whether 64732 is divisible by 9?

**Solution –**

A number is divisible by 9, if the sum of all the digits of the numbers is divisible by 9.

In, 64732

Sum of its digits = 6 + 4 + 7 + 3 + 2 = 22

and 22 is not divisible by 9

So, 64732 is not divisible by 9
