Question – Find six rational numbers between 3 and 4
Solution –
We will find six rational numbers between 3 and 4 by following the steps below:
Step (I) To find 6 rational numbers between 3 and 4, we will divide and multiply both numbers by (6+1) = 7
Thus, 3 = (3 x (7 /7))
= 21/7
Similarly, 4 = (4 x (7/ 7))
= 28/7
Step (II) Write the numbers between the given numbers as-
The numbers in between 21/7 and 28/7 are rational and will lie between 3 and 4
22/7, 23/7, 24/7, 25/7, 26/7, 27/7 lies between 21/7 and 28/7
Hence, 22/7, 23/7, 24/7, 25/7, 26/7, 27/7 will also lie between 3 and 4
