Question – Briefly discuss the sectoral contribution to the GDP of India, Pakistan and China.
Answer –
Sectoral contribution to the GDP of India, Pakistan and China
- Agricultural sector: GDP contribution of agriculture in India is 16 per cent, for China it is 7 per cent and for Pakistan it is 24 per cent.
- Industrial sector: Industrial sector contributes 30 per cent to GDP in India, in China its 41 per cent and in Pakistan it is 19 per cent.
- Service sector: Service sector contributes 54% to GDP in India, in China it’s 52% and in Pakistan it’s 57%.
By these points we can conclude that service sector is contributing highest in all the three countries. The industrialization in China is highest as the contribution from industrial sector is highest in China. The service sector in China has also expanded proportionate to the industrial sector which is not the case in India and Pakistan.
