Tax Audit Due Date extended by CBDT to 31st Oct, 2018 – The Central Board of Direct taxes, has further extended the due date of filing of return of income by all assessees, who are liable to file a tax return by 30.9.2018 to October 31, 2018.
This is subsequent to the directions of the honorable Rajasthan High Court . Why the liability to pay interest u/s 234A shall continue, given that the quantum of liability would not vary if the due date was October 15 vs the due date of October 31, they may not be any changes on this aspect.
